Bug aims to dispatch your order within five to seven working days of receiving it. Due to the handmade nature of each piece Bug unfortunately cannot offer a next day delivery service. Occasionally there may be slight delays in production, but we will let you know immediately if they occur.If you need an item for a specific date, please contact us prior to ordering to inform us and we will try our best to have it ready for you.
You will receive an e-mail confirmation once your item has been shipped.
Bug offers the option of free delivery for orders, this service is not tracked and is not insured. Any items damaged or lost in transit via this postage method will not be refunded or replaced. 1-3 working days once shipped.
You have a second option to select Special Delivery at a cost of £6.00. This service is tracked and insured, a signature will be required for delivery. 1-2 working days once shipped
All orders are sent via Royal Mail Airsure at a flat rate of £8, a track-able courier, and a signature will be required for delivery. If you are purchasing more than one item in your transaction there will not be any additional delivery costs to the same address. 1-2 weeks once shipped
Please note that international delivery may incur additional duty/import charges that are out of our control, these charges must be paid by the recipient.
Your jewellery purchase will arrive in a wax sealed Bug gift box in a recycled kraft brown along with an insert card to keep the jewellery neat and tidy inside! We make every effort to ensure that items are packaged securely for transit.
We offer free gift wrap on all orders, please leave a note in the comments section at the checkout if you wish to have your item wrapped. We can also include a hand printed gift tag with a personal message.
LATE OR LOST DELIVERIES
If your item is delayed please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number to enable us to check. Items paid for with free postage cannot be tracked and therefore cannot be refunded or replaced.
We cannot refund or replace lost times until 20 work days after the date of dispatch (30 days for international deliveries) as this is when the Royal Mail classes items as lost.
Bug jewellery cannot be held responsible for goods that are lost or delayed in transit.
REFUNDS AND EXCHANGE
We hope that you are delighted with your jewellery, but if you are not satisfied items can be refunded or exchanged within 14 days of receipt, items must be unworn and in their original condition, with packaging.
To arrange a refund or exchange please first contact us on email@example.com stating your item, order number and name address and contact details, this must be within 14 days of receipt.
Please note for hygiene reasons earrings cannot be refunded or exchanged, unless faulty.
When returning or exchanging items please return them to us with a track-able courier, such as Royal Mail special delivery. Bug is not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit when refunding or exchanging. Please include a note with your name and order number and once we receive your returned item, providing it is in the unworn condition and with the original packaging, your account will be credited for the products amount or exchanged.
We do not refund shipping charges on refunded or exchanged items, unless deemed faulty.
We accept all major credit cards through PayPal. You do not have to have a PayPal account to order, you can log in as a guest. PayPal is used as a secure way to submit payment.
Due to the handmade nature of Bug jewellery there might be very slight variations in colour and sizes to items. All items are designed and handcrafted in the Bug workshop.
All items are produced in 925 sterling silver. Our gold plating is a layer of 18ct gold on top of sterling silver. Although gold plate will not tarnish it will get dirty with wear and when in contact with perfumes and moist conditions. Over time the gold plate can fade depending on how much the jewellery is worn. Bug offers a completely free reconditioning service for gold plated items, this means we will give your jewellery a good clean and a polish and re-plate it, restoring your jewellery to it's original sparkle!
Items that are over 7.78 grams are hallmarked with Ellie Ingram's makers mark ‘ELI’, items under this weight are exempt from hallmarking.
We want you to be able to wear your jewellery for as long as possible, so here are a fews tips for keeping it happy!
• Silver naturally tarnishes over time, causing it to blacken slightly, due to exposure to natural elements. To prevent this happening, when not wearing your jewellery store it in an air tight container or jewellery box and give it a regular clean with a polishing cloth.
• To prolong gold plated and oxidised items, keep them dry and avoid using chemical cleaners, to clean use a soft polishing cloth. It is also best to remove them when in contact with water.
• Store your jewellery separately, so it doesn’t rub & scratch against each other.
• Apply your perfume before putting on your jewellery as lotions can corrode and tarnish the jewellery.
• The best cleaning method to really brighten up your silver is a product called 'Silver Dip' simply dip your jewellery into the solution and watch it sparkle! Remember to run it under the tap afterwards.
REPAIRS & RECONDITIONING
We want you to be 100% happy with your purchase, meaning that it should fit perfectly and last for as long as you want to keep wearing it. We are more than happy to make any alterations to your purchase free of charge. This includes ring resizing and altering chain lengths. We offer free repairs and also a free re-conditioning service to all items that need a little TLC. This service doesn't include re-placement of lost parts.
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance with repairs and reconditioning. You will need to package up the jewllery and pop it in the post to us. It is best to send any items via Royal Mail Special Delivery, we cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit. Repairs can take from 1-3 weeks.
If your item is deemed faulty within 30 days of purchase we will either repair, replace or offer an exchange. Please email email@example.com stating ‘repair’ in the subject box, for assistance.
Prices are subject to change, due to fluctuations in the precious metal market.
We will not sell, share or trade any information you supply to us with a third party either from transactions on this website, competitions or signing up to our guest list.
