Bespoke Sterling Silver "Ron's Farm Shop" Cufflinks

This bespoke pair of cufflinks was commissioned as a special gift for a customer’s dad, inspired by his love for growing vegetables and his farm shop, Ron’s Farm Shop. Working from photographs of his veg patch and the shop itself, we settled on a playful, mismatched pair: a little watering can on one side, and a punnet overflowing with raspberries on the other. To add a personal touch, I recreated the original shop signage by hand-stamping "Ron's Farm Shop" along the side of the tiny wooden crate. It was such a joy to make - turning sweet, everyday memories of the farm shop into something he can wear and keep forever.

Materials & Techniques

Each element was carved in wax by hand - shaping the individual raspberries, the tiny crate slats, and the watering can - before being cast in solid 925 sterling silver in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter using the lost-wax process. The lettering was hand-stamped directly into the wax crate wall using miniature steel letter punches before casting. Afterwards, both pieces were hand-finished at the bench with a gentle oxidation added to the deeper details to bring out the leterring, then fitted with sturdy sterling silver swivel-back mechanisms.
