Liquorice Presents : Open Arts / Sunday Social
****COMING SOON*****
A casual, friendly space to bring whatever you’re making, meet local creative minds, and enjoy a warm drink and cake in good company.
Welcome to Open Arts
Whether you’re working on a personal creative project, eager to pick up a handcraft, or just looking for a welcoming, low-pressure space to hang out and chat, Open Arts is for you.
There’s no pressure to be an expert, no set structure, and no strict rules about what counts as "art." It’s simply a dedicated time to pull up a chair, make something with your hands, swap ideas, and connect with local people in Ludlow.
What to Bring:
Bring along whatever project you’re currently working on! Unfinished projects, experimental ideas, and simple handcrafts are all very welcome.
-
Great things to bring: Sketchbooks, hand-sewing, knitting, embroidery, small wood-carving, collage, writing, or design work.
-
Please note: Because we share a comfortable, shared room, please leave heavy power tools, loud machinery, or messy wet mediums (like large-scale oil paints or spray cans) at home.
If you don't have a project on the go, don't worry—just bring a notebook, a pencil, or simply bring yourself!
What to Expect:
-
A Warm Welcome: Drop in anytime during the session.
-
Refreshments: Delicious tea, fresh coffee, and homemade cake available throughout.
-
Shared Inspiration: A chance to learn new skills from others, share advice, or simply enjoy making things alongside fellow community members.
-
Zero Intimidation: Completely beginner-friendly. Come on your own or bring a friend.

I carry a small stock of made up pieces for craft fairs and events. These are available for dispatch within one to three days.
If the jewellery needs to be made from scratch, this usually takes one to three weeks. To allow time for casting, finishing, assembly and in some cases hallmarking.
If you require the jewellery for a specific important date please do let me know in advance so I can make sure it reaches you in plenty of time.
-
My jewellery is hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office with the famous Birmingham anchor and my makers mark 'ELI'.
*However please note the following legal weight thresholds :
If the item is silver and weighs less than 7.78g and if gold weighing less than 1g, the item is exempt from hallmarking.
If you would like a hallmark on your jewellery and it weighs less than these thresholds, I can hallmark the item for you at extra charge of £15.
